Brake Magnets

Electromagnets should be used in place of brake pads in cars and trucks. Basicially, it would involve a powerful magnet on either side of the wheel. When pressure is applied to the brake pedal by the driver, more electricity would be fed to the magnets, causing them to produce what I call "electromagnetic friction", therby slowing the rotation of the wheel. Since no physical contact is required for this to work, one would never need to worry about screeching brakes or worn out brake pads.
